Over the years there has been much confusion about one of Belle Isle's many institutions: the Casino. this is not a gambling casino, but rather uses the existing sense of the term, a place for "public entertainments." This Casino has been used for this function since the original structure was built-in the 1880s, serving as a gathering location for Detroiters for generations.
The first building to become called the Casino was internal 1887, as Belle Isle was being turned into a municipal park. It was constructed to hold events, bazaars, and things of that nature, which its successor was made to do too. The original building burnt down noisy . 1900s.
The original building was replaced in 1907 having a building developed by the firm of Van Leyen and Schilling. This building has continued to serve its function successfully for above 10 years now, and its poker card what beats what future seems to become secure well in the future, despite the problems that Belle Isle has experienced in recent years.
